Con la nueva distribución se reubica la cocina junto a las zonas comunes de salón y comedor por lo que tendrá un carácter más social. Esta podrá ser un estudio, una sala de juegos, un cuarto de lectura, un cuarto de visionado de series o una habitación de invitados. En este sentido, se rehabilita el suelo de entablillado de madera, se mantienen los marcos de las puertas de madera maciza, se rehabilita una antigua cómoda de madera encontrada en la vivienda y se mantienen elementos decorativos preexistentes como el foseado circular estilo Decó en el falso techo. Para él la prioridad era tener un retiro en el campo donde no escuchar el ruido de los coches, poder ver vegetación al mirar por la ventana y tener un gran espacio donde jugar al ping-pong. Este modelo suele encontrarse alejado de núcleos urbanos y por lo tanto es muy dependiente del coche, pero ninguno de los dos quería tener esta dependencia para la compra de comida y acceder a servicios sanitarios.&nbsp; <img width="2336" height="2336" width_o="2336" height_o="2336" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/e991ccb5b4a89d5665175402228cd7e3b0fb8f625536529d90b3ef81b95c685c/Demolicin-y-construccin---Esquema-axo---Diagonal.jpg" data-mid="93474673" border="0" src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/1000/i/e991ccb5b4a89d5665175402228cd7e3b0fb8f625536529d90b3ef81b95c685c/Demolicin-y-construccin---Esquema-axo---Diagonal.jpg" /> El auge del comercio electrónico y el aumento de los precios de la vivienda están provocando que los bajos comerciales de las ciudades estén sufriendo adaptaciones funcionales. La vivienda diseñada en el interior está formada por muebles que dividen las estancias sin necesidad de tabiques y que generan espacios luminosos abiertos al nuevo jardín. La cocina desempeña un lugar fundamental en la vivienda como espacio principal de socialización y de trabajo hortícola. Para su planificación se organizaban reuniones con los interesados, para informarles de aquel proyecto utópico de ciudad hecha a la medida humana, en la que sería posible vivir rodeados de naturaleza, trabajar, interrelacionarse con los vecinos, participar, y donde todos serían propietarios. En la actualidad la cooperativa consta de un proyecto social de fomento de la cultura, el deporte y el ocio, el desarrollo comercial y empresarial o la ayuda a los jóvenes en el acceso a la vivienda que es financiado por el propio patrimonio cooperativo. Las viviendas que se construyeron fueron un éxito en su planteamiento proporcionando un modo de vida asequible para multitud de familias, pero sus características espaciales son mejorables en base a los criterios actuales. Proyecto construído en colaboración con Román Ledesma García para la ONG Kelele África en Kasenda, región de Kabarole, Uganda. La región de Kabarole en Uganda tiene terrenos muy arcillosos. Excavando unos pocos centímetros para retirar la capa de sustrato vegetal se encuentra un material de gran pureza. Es habitual ver yacimientos en cualquier terraplén junto a una carretera. Tradicionalmente la arcilla se utiliza para la construcción en gran variedad de formas como el tapial, el adobe o los ladrillos cocidos. Es un material muy accesible que suelen utilizar familias con pocos recursos para construir viviendas muy básicas, pero que en cuanto pueden disponer de más recursos suelen optar por los bloques de hormigón. La población local tiende a considerar que las construcciones que usan cemento y acero son de mayor calidad, aunque generen unos espacios interiores poco ventilados y muy calurosos. El principal reto de diseño consistió en resignificar el uso del ladrillo visto de forma que se pudiera percibir como una opción valiosa y que, mediante una serie de mejoras técnicas evitara su rápido deterioro. La arcilla cocida, en contraposición al cemento, es un material cuya extracción y procesado genera pocas emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero y que al final de su vida no genera residuos, dado que puede volver a convertirse en tierra.
